Good work

Aie, definitely good work, the David Firth influence is obvious, but as you said, nothing was indeed copied and it's always good to use references and have influences. A good solid flash overall, the graphics could indeed be a bit improved, but the animation came across as believable. And wow, man, Boards of Canada, seriously, most amazing pure ambient band around. They really know their music, so definitely a good choice there. Keep them coming, I'll check out some more of your work. 3/5.

Carbonwater responds:

Cheers.

That was awesome! Make sweet love to me, Johnny, I want your babies!

JohnnyUtah responds:

hey whoa, you need to buy me a drink first.

Gruesome!

Aie, that was lovely. Overall, the graphics could've used a little work, some colour for example, but if only the blood was intended to be in colour, I guess that makes it sorta artistic, kinda like Schindler's List.... But then without the nazi's and Liam Neeson of course. But yeah, nice way to start off the animation really static and have the character die in such a gruesome way. It was unexpected and therefore pretty funny. This would make a good ad actually. Keep em coming, I'd like to see more of this. Passed it.

DarkDisguise responds:

Thanks :) Yeah the graphics, especially the movements were kind of stiff, I appologize for my patience, it ran out after a while :P. Yeah it's supposed to look like a caution sign, that's why it's.. white :P But I get what your point. yeah, it's a great effect apart from the white :P, and Liam Neeson too.
thanks :D Well appreciated, though I have no Idea if there will be anymore, I've become more of a musician so that's the stuff right now, but who knows, have a nice day :)

Looked alright.

However, the sound was simply dreadful, there was far too much noise over the voice for it to be audible. The graphics were nice, but there could've been more active animation, think fbf or something similar. Good story, though.

PinkSkull responds:

Thanks...
I guess i need to learn how to edit properly.. and to record.... lol.
I couldnt think of much active animation for a narration.. adn didnt have much time either.
Thanks again^^

Pretty pretty!

I always have a thing for these kinds of artsy concepts, that's why the ratings for graphics and style are so high. Fluently animated as well, good fbf. I never quite realized that song by the Police is actually quite good, it's simple, but I enjoy the simplicity of it. Did you use Fireworks to get the radient effects on your drawings or is it all purely Flash? Either way, I enjoyed it, fived it and am hoping to see more of your work.

Emilijus responds:

many of my friends liked this movie, and i think i will draw more of them in such style, maybe i'll add more work to it. its just flash 8 :) no other apps for effects..

Okay, but definitely needs music.

Some pretty cool drawings and some nicely flowing animation. However, this will definitely need some music and a plot is always good. Also a loadings screen and a replay button would benefit the flash.

FlashKn1ght responds:

Yes, I was aware of those things missing.. .well, right after I uploaded it.

Oops.

All I need now...

Is a bottle of jack and 2 grammes of white widow. Good effort, nice pick in music and some pretty good masking layer usage. What it could improve on is the drawings, they weren't too spectacular and the sound, which cuts off at about 2/3rds into the movie. Also try to edit the sound (with Audacity or so) so that some of the characters' voices don't pierce your eardrums when you're trying to enjoy the music. Perfect kind of photography you used for the background, though. Would you mind telling me what Floyd song is playing in the background? I liked it, you have a good style.

Chrono-Bono responds:

Hehe, thanks. Hmm I wonder why the music cut out, maybe there was a delay in loading the other parts?

I was really rushing to get it done before the end of the exam so I guess I was trying to keep it quick and simple.

Thanks for the advice, I'll adjust the sound and hopefully fix the music soon.

The song was 'Setting the controls for the Heart of the Sun'

Thanks for the review :)

Hehe, noice

Good vid, man, I like your style. Not too shabby on the graphics, too. I enjoy the album version of the song with the guitars better though, but keep em coming.

Nogfish responds:

50% says that they like the Hi-Tek Remix, 50% says that they like the original, and
50% says that they hate rap.

yes that is three 50%s.

Another pretty good one

Hehe, this is starting to develop into a nice and simple little series. I see you've improved a bit on the graphics since the last one, I just hope there will be a constant line in the development. Good job, man, continue the series. It's fun.

Kamize responds:

Thanks for reviewing both my submissions man. Hope you keep up with the series, I have to take a break from it untill the weekend because the first 9 weeks of this semester ends on friday (my birthday), and I have a lot of makeup work to finish by that time (I missed 12 days of school due to strep throat).

I'll try to make the graphics better in the next episode. Hopefully keeping the humor intact while doing so. Thanks for the honost review, at the rate your Overall rating is increasing if I make 7 more episodes it'll be 14!

Kamize out!

Hilarious!

That was excellent! In a sick, twisted, sometimes verging on complete insanity, you're truly showing what an odd little world this is. The only thing I could possibly bitch about is that the subtitles sometimes went by a bit quickly, but who needs subtitles anyway? Excellent movie!

Sirkowski responds:

That's weird about the subtitles.

Not much chance for survival, if the Neon Bible is true.
